About the Evening

Where art and astronomy meet

ST-Arts with Science brought together two of Baltimore's most generous communities — the artists who make the city beautiful and the space scientists who study what lies beyond it.

Over the course of an evening at the Baltimore Art Gallery in Hampden, painters, sculptors, photographers, and mixed-media artists shared work directly inspired by deep-space imagery, planetary science, and the everyday curiosity that drives both disciplines.

The result was a gallery filled with nebulae translated into pigment, telescope data reimagined as texture, and conversations that proved how naturally these two worlds belong together.

"Both artists and scientists spend their lives looking closely at things most people walk past. This was a night to celebrate that shared instinct." — ST-Arts with Science
